The word "dragon" appears 13 times in the New Testament.

The book of Job describes a fire-breathing creature. This passage contains the most dragon-like imagery: " Out of his nostrils comes forth smoke, as from a boiling pot and burning rushes. His breath kindles coals, and a flame comes forth from his mouth. (Job 41:20-21).

The book of Revelation describes Satan as "a great red dragon" who seeks to destroy the woman giving birth to the messiah (Revelation 12:3). This connects the dragon image with Satan and evil forces.

The "dragons" of the Bible likely refer to large frightening beasts or symbolic enemies, not literal fire-breathing dragons. The dragon imagery evokes fear of chaos, danger, and demonic forces that God's saints must overcome. #WordMinistry
